TransComp implements the transient-complex theory for predicting protein-protein and protein-RNA association rate constants, using the structure of the native complex as input.
The input is the structure of a protein complex in PQR format, which contains the partial charge and radius of each atom in addition to its coordinates. An input example can be seen here. The user can either upload two pqr files or use the link start from pdb files to start form a pdb file. The latter can be drectly uploaded or, by entering a PDB ID, retrieved from the Protein Data Bank (http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/).
The output is the predicted rate constant. An output example is found here. Additional explanation of the output can be found there.
